Iron Man 2 was funny as fuck like imagine you’re battling a terminal illness and at the end of what is arguably the worst week of your life some guy shows up and is like “we’ve been conducting a secret job interview for a position you didn’t apply for and we’ve decided to reject you” and you just go “alright fuck you too then” and revolutionize the energy business.

Thinking about Ambrosius’ anger issues and how after the events of the movie he’s definitely struggling even more with them, both as a result of his ptsd and guilt, but also because of all his anger about everything that happened and was done to Ballister, the Queen, Nimona, the people and himself. And all of that anger could conveniently fall on the Director, but she’s not fucking there, is she?! So who can he be angry at??! He can’t really blame Todd, ‘cause Todd is Todd. He’s stupid, Ambrosius wouldn’t have expected better from him. Similarly for the rest of the knights joined in with the fact that they didn’t know better and are victims too. Obviously he can’t be mad at Ballister or Nimona, they did nothing wrong… so all that anger, frustration, build up anxiety and guilt boils over, explodes into a fiery sword of hatred and the only person he can rightfully point it towards is himself
i think my favorite thing about nimona is how genuine it is. like obvi there are other animations out there like nimona but i think this is the first time i actually appreciated it. all the characters have different body shapes and face structure
and their facial expressions are real and exaggerated (BALLISTER SHHHHSHHS ITS OKAY BABY🙏)

like imo the only person who doesnt have that exaggeration is the director??? woman is so mild nd professional smh
obsessed with characters being saved against their will. being knocked unconscious and carried away from a danger they won’t stop trying to fight. being shoved through a portal somewhere far away and safe right before it closes. trying to self-sacrifice only to have the exact person they’re trying to save swap their places at the last second. getting the only cure to the disease or curse bc the person administering it loves them too much to give it to anyone else, including themselves. being thrown to safety right as they had accepted dying. someone else they thought had gotten to safety running back to drag them out of danger. it’s so fucking tasty
Hearing Nate say that Ballister is the official little spoon because quote Ambrosius adores him too much to ever stop holding onto him will keep me warm at night ❤️
